Our church has been built over the years with a spirit of servanthood by a committed and faithful group of volunteers.
It is very important that as a volunteer, you and your family are actually in a service just for you every weekend. We always want to be serving from a position of strength. Attending services weekly and being spiritually encouraged sets us up to be great volunteers.
We try to make it easy for everyone to volunteer at StC, so there is no set minimum requirement or amount of time you can serve. We long to see more and more people getting actively involved.
Here are just a few ideas that might help you to think about where God is calling you to serve. If nothing stands out, then why not step out in faith and start something new?
Welcome Team.
At our services, the Welcome Team offers a friendly face to welcome the congregation and greet newcomers. If you have a gift for hospitality we’d love to hear from you.
StC Kids.
Do you have a passion for seeing kids encounter Jesus? There's a whole range of opportunities for you to get involved. We would love to hear from you!
Food Bank.
If you have a few hours each week to spare, why not come along and become part of the Food Bank team, volunteering by greeting Food Bank users and supporting them, sorting, weighing or dating donations, putting together food parcels or delivering them, or helping to make teas & coffees.
StC Café.
Our Café teams prepare and serve coffee after our main Sunday services and on a Wednesday morning too. No cooking ability is required, just a heart for service and a desire to get plugged in.
Choir.
If you enjoy singing, we offer lots of opportunities to get involved. From singing lessons to RSCM qualifications, we can help you blossom as a singer. In return, we hope that you’ll have a heart for enhancing our worship.
Hospital Chaplaincy.
Our chaplaincy team visit people who are unwell at Gorseinon Hospital. If you are interested in volunteering with us to visit those who are going through a difficult time, we would love to hear from you.
Office.
We could always do with an extra pair of hands in the church office. If you are free during the week and would like to volunteer in an office role (answering the telephone, photocopying, receiving donations for Food Bank etc.), get in touch today.
